Head Casting

We decided to have Devon fitted for a DOC band (aka “the helmet”) to help with a mild case of plagiocephaly on the right side of his head towards the back. We had noticed his preference to tilting his head towards that side since he was 4 months old but trying to reposition his head as instructed by our pediatrician didn’t alleviate the issue so she suggested we give the band a try. Unfortunately for him, each band is custom made for the baby which required a cast to be made of his head. Not exactly a happy experience for him.
